The innovative technology used to inflate flood protection barriers can also be used to rapidly deploy highly efficient and cost-effective containment reservoirs for the temporary storage of a wide range of liquids including drinking water, rainwater wastewater, oil spills, toxic chemicals and reservoirs of unlimited storage capacity. 

Because GVOIR Containment reservoirs are modular and extremely flexible, they can be connected end to end to enclose as large an area as needed to form an open reservoir of virtually any size, shape and storage capacity. This level of flexibility provides a distinct advantage over traditional reservoirs made from a rigid material. Traditional reservoirs have fixed dimensions that limit their maximum storage capacity. The GVOIR Mobile Containment Reservoir does not. It can expand or contract simply by adding or removing modules as circumstances dictate. As such, it is capable of storing vast quantities of liquid and its capacity is limited only by the space available for deployment of the reservoir. The GVOIR is so versatile, it can be used independently or as an add-on system to extend the storage capacity of a traditional reservoir.

Quick, Efficient & Cost-Effective to Deploy

Traditional reservoirs are heavy and cumbersome. Installing them is expensive, labor-intensive and requires considerable lead time to complete. By contrast, GVOIR modules are light, easy to transport, simple to install and can be fully inflated in a fraction of the time and at a fraction of the cost, it would take to build a traditional reservoir of equal height and length. High-velocity pumps can be used at multiple terminals along the reservoir to speed up the process of filling tubes.

Provides both Closed and Open Storage Systems

The GVOIR can be used to form an open storage system where water contained in the reservoir is exposed to the elements or create a fully closed storage system where liquids are stored inside tubes and are fully protected from exposure to sunlight, insects, bird droppings, etc. The closed storage system not only insulates liquids from the external environment but also totally eliminates evaporation reducing the risk of water shortage during droughts.

Step One: transport barriers to site 

Step Two: Place terminals and Deploy tubes

Step Three: Connect tubes to terminals and tighten straps 

Step Four: Stabilize with air 

Step Five: Connect pumps, fill tubes with water while releasing air. 

Floodblock Inflatable Barriers are extremely tough. They are made from a thick double woven fabric that can not only withstand tremendous pressure and abuse but is also rip-resistant. This means that even if a tube is punctured, the tear in the fabric will not grow wider and the barrier will not split open or collapse during a flood surge.
